Gina Robinson-Shaw, the Founder, CEO, and Executive Director of Closing the Gap CCC, has 17 years of experience treating children, adolescents, adults, and seniors with varying backgrounds and ranges of concerns and disorders. Gina has a special interest in Forensic psychology, criminal justice, human sex trafficking, cyber-crimes, employment relations and retention, psychiatric rehabilitation, grief and trauma, advocating for the disabled, and geriatric welfare. She has security clearances with federal government and intelligence agencies as is preparing to sit for the National Counseling Examination (NCE) to earn the Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor (NCC) credentials to practice independent counseling in the states of Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
Is to create a nurturing, comfortable, and judgment free environment when engaging with our clients as we primarily perform services where the client is - typically in the community. We strive to advocate, offer support, develop effective goals and strategies to enhance and promote success. Examples of services and we have offered and will continue offering include: mental health therapy, clinical case management, psychiatric research, vocational/transitional counseling and rehabilitation, employment coaching and retention, and clinical coordination.
